March 09 - Mimi, Uncle Bill & Pop Visit

Alex: Well, having everyone here was just great. Uncle Bill is the best, he read lots of Dr. Seuss to me, like a pro. Mom said he even got the word right most of the time and I know that is hard to do. He also went on walks and played outside with me tons! He is just so much fun, I can't wait for him to come back to visit when he goes to the Masters with Mimi and Pop again.

Amelia: I also had a great time with all of the company. I was even fortunate enough to be given pickles. Which, everyone did as a joke, but boy did I fool them, b/c I just love 'em. Ya'll should know by now that I love food, just keep it coming.

We had a fantastic time with everyone visiting. The weather was in the 80s of the time so the boys golfed and the girls shopped. And there was lots of dining at outside restaurants. There were so many pics there are too many to post so check out the album.

Grammy's Visit

So, I'm sorry it's been so long since I last updated the blog. At the end of Feb., beginning of March we had our first solo visit from Grammy and had an absolute blast. We can't wait for her to come back soon!

February 2009

Alex (20 mos):
Not much new with me. I'm still not talking a whole lot, but I love to babble. I understand what I am saying, just no one else does and that is OK with me. We have had some nice weather so I've been playing outside a lot which I love. Amelia is ok, I guess. Sometimes she is fun to play with, sometimes she just takes too much of Mommy's time if you ask me.

Amelia (7 mos):
I'm not crawling yet, and according to Mommy it doesn't look like I care to. I do try occasionally, but I am just as content to roll from one end of the room to another. This Alex kid keeps coming and taking all of the toys Mom gives me. Most of the time, its not worth caring, but you know every once in a while I'll throw a fit about it, just to throw him off.

As you know last month I started solid foods. Well, mommy decided to try something called Baby-Led Weaning instead of purees. Partly, to help avoid me being a picky eater like Alex. Anyway, you'll see lots of silly food pics this month as I am exploring my food and making ginormous messes. Have fun!!

Jan 2009

Alex (19 months):
Not much new with me. I am still a big ole trouble maker. I like to climb and steal toys from my sister.

Amelia (6 months):
Well I made it to my 1/2 year mark. I am 27" tall (95%) and 15 lbs 6 oz heavy (50%). The Dr. said I am coming along beautifully. I've started solid foods and love everthing I have tried except carrots.

Leave my cookie alone!
