Ice Cream - Golf - Pool - MGM

So, yet again the pictures are backwards chronologically speaking, but you'll get the drift.

MGM - Myself, Uncle Bill, Mimi and the kids went while Pop played golf. Overall it was a good day, the kids enjoyed the Playhouse Disney Show, Muppets 3D and Alex especially the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground - who would have guessed it?? For whatever reason though, that day the kids - more Alex - weren't in the greatest mood, but we still managed to have a good time.

Outside Muppets - A giant leaf

Outside Tower of Terror
We came all this way for Alex to play with a fire hydrant

Raglan's Irish Pub - the food was excellent!
Bill's tour of beer

Pool Fun
Alex picked any debris he could find and put it on Uncle Bill's back
For me? Oh thanks.

The Villa we had overlooked a golf course. Pop played on it twice. On this particular morning we were there to watch while we were waiting for Uncle Bill to arrive from VT. The kids were able to recognize him from afar and thought it was really cool that he was down there. The starred the whole time.
The Tee-off - nice shot!

One night we went to Downtown Disney to walk around and shop. For whatever reason, it was packed! So we decided to stop for ice cream at Ghiradelli - yummy! Usually I can get away with sharing a scoop or two with both kids, however this night was not the case. Alex insisted he sit on my lap and feed himself - he ate the whole bowl by himself! And much to his sister's chagrin... so she started getting angry and Mimi was kind enough to share, thank goodness. When it got down to the cone, Amelia HAD to have her own...
More now!
She was a mess

Magic Kingdom Day 1

We went to Magic Kingdom two times this trip to Disney. First time was just me, the kids and the grandparents. We had a great time, although you can't tell from the pictures it was freezing! The weather forecast was for 80 and for most of the morning it didn't get above 60 until the sun finally came out after lunch. This time around Amelia was terrified of the rides and spent most of them (pooh's honey pot, snow white, peter pan and even a little of small world) with her head pressed into my chest. Alex really seemed to enjoy them though. Overall, Alex's favorite part was the train around the part, he spent the whole time saying 'a choo choo, mommy, a choo choo.'

Choo Choo Time
Best group pics we could get
The 2nd favorite part of the day was playing in Pooh's Playground - it was almost totally empty, it was nice for them to run around and warm up
Ok, so Alex was handed these stickers shortly after we entered the park from one of the cast members and NEVER let go of them

The Crayola Factory and National Canal Museum

This past friday we went with Erin and Cassidy and new friends Erica and Retta to the Crayola Factory. I apologize ahead of time, I didn't get a ton of great pictures. I tell you its really hard keeping an eye on (or taking a picture of) one kid while the other is headed off in other direction. We did have a great time and I can't wait to take the kids back, especially when Amelia is more into art projects.

Project #1
That is what Amelia did when she wasn't trying to eat markers
They had 2 large glass walls for the kids to draw on, kinda scary to encourage that behavior ;o)
Here she comes!
Of course, like at home, as soon as the kids saw the reading area they all ran toward it and this undeniable compulsion to take all of the books off of the shelf
My Little Reader
Ok Mom really bored waiting for Alex to finish finger painting
He was really unsure of it, but loved it in the end
Alex's favorite part by far (Amelia couldn't reach over the table) was the boats, he would have stayed there all day
I don't know what this was supposed to be, but I thought it was one of the freakiest looking things ever!
Peek-a-boo
