The Weiss Family: August 2009

For the time we had left with Daddy, we tried to have as much fun as we could. We played outside, went for icecream and to the park, we went to the zoo, and even tried to feed the ducks. It turns out where Mommy fed ducks as a kid there is now a $250 fine - boo. Regardless, we had a wonderful time and were very very sad to see Daddy go.

Alex (2 yrs 1 mos):
This month was a whole lot of crazy. We had our first trip to Disney World and the following weekend Gpa, Grammy and Aunt Sarah came up to help us pack and move stuff into storage. There were all a great help - I was really tired of living in a house of boxes. I had lots of last minute checkups and speech appts. My hearing is now totally normal after my surgery. Mommy is hoping I start talking soon, but I think I'm going to make her worry a bit longer. Finally, on the 23rd we moved north to PA to live at Mimi and Pops while Daddy is gone for a really long time. So far I'm doing well and I'm having lots of fun playing with my Uncles Bill and Stephen. We even had almost 2 wks to hang out with Daddy before he left and had tons of fun doing lots of little special things.

Amelia (1 yrs):
Well, I made to my 1 yr birth with flying colors! I am 29.5" tall and just shy of 20lbs. I LOVE to eat, blueberries are my favorite, but I'll eat pretty much anything. I'm not walking yet. Physically I am totally able, Mom says I just don't seem to realize that I am able. I have definately started to talk. While Alex always has said 'diggle' my babble is 'diddle.' I can say "hi, all done, doggy, mama, and daddy." Mommy says she think she heard my say 'book' today too. I am really into books right now and pull them all off of the shelf at least once a day and go thru them all. Hopefully, I'll convince Alex to talk soon too ;o)
