March 2010

Another month down, a bunch more to go! All in all we had a pretty good month. We had some play-dates with friends and friends come stay for a while. We had some really nice weather so the kids could get outside and play. Let me tell you, they would live outside if I let them, there are times where I literally have to drag them in, but I am thrilled they like to be so active and aren't couch potatoes.

Both kids are making lots of progress with their speech therapy. Alex finally has 200+ words and is consistently using 3 and 4 word sentences. Amelia is growing her vocabulary and has really started imitating, which is the first major step in speech. I am so proud of them.

We all miss Dan and can't wait to have him back with us this summer. The kids talk to him on skype when 'they feel like it.' And Alex asks about him at least once a week. We are under the 4 month mark, not close enough to count down yet...

Alex enjoys school...mostly. According to his teachers, he puts on a show for me, crying and carrying on and such when I leave, but has a wonderful time there after.

Snowy February

We had about 20" of snow a couple of weeks ago. Alex LOVES the snow, he has it up his pants and in his boots and would still stay out in it for another hour. Luckily, we live at the end of a cul-de-sac and the plows pile up he snow around the circle to he just climbs from pile to pile to pile. Amelia, on the other hand could take it or leave it. She isn't tall enough to really climb yet and is like me and isn't too fond of being cold so she is good to come in after about 20 minutes.

ok, can we go outside yet mom???
ham and cheese anyone?
