Early October and Uncle Bill's Visit

Alex (16 months):

Let's see, this month I got in 3 molars and that made for a very cranky little me for a while. But I am doing much better now. I weigh 25.5 lbs and am 32.9 inches tall. I can point to my nose and my belly button. And when you ask me where my tongue is, I just stick it out at you. Doesn't my mommy teach me lovely things? My favorite thing to do lately is to play with the new toys Grandma and Mimi bought me - blocks, piggy bank and a busy ball popper. I also really like to chase around Molly. I also really enjoy playing with Amelia's hair, its just so soft and shiney.

Amelia (3 months):

Well I am still very young so I don't have as many new tricks as my big bro Alex. I am still a very happy and easy going little girl. Mom thinks I'm about 13.5lbs and 25.5 inches, but those are guessimates. I have started laughing and I am very observant. I can definately hold my head up on my own and enjoy sitting in the Bumbo and taking it all in. I think in another month or so I'll be sitting up on my own.

Change of Command

Well, we have had quite a busy month hence the lack of pictures. We have had lots of visitors and Daddy's Change of Command. With the holidays coming up we should be staying quite busy I imagine! Enjoy.

First Words and Smiles

Alex:

Well, it has finally happened - I said my first words. I now say Thank You pronounced "danku." And I even do it in context. I also very rarely say yes and no. As you can see by the pictures I continue to be quite the little monkey climbing anything in reach. So much so, that mom and dad have had to move the couch against the walls so I don't fall off of the back of it.

Amelia:

I had my two month check up and everything checks out wonderfully. I am a biggg girl measuring in at 23.5 inches and 12 lbs (about the 70% for both). I am 2 inches longer and 2 lbs heavier than Alex was at my age! Other than that I am still calm and laid back and smile tons.
