End July - Beginning August 2008

After Mimi and Pop left, a week later Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sarah came for a week to visit and help out. Everyone had tons of fun playing and hanging out.

Alex (14 mos):
Well, I have finally gotten used to the idea of a new sister. For the most part though, I try to go on as if she is not around. I am as active as ever and enjoy anything outside - especially the swings at the park. Recently, I have started clapping and waving - I know is a little late, but better than never right? Mommy also taught me how to blow kisses. And my favorite thing to do is read my books especially the Dr. Suess ones with Daddy and Sandra Boyton ones with Mommy.

Amelia (3 wks):
I have done a lot of growing already. At my 2 wk appt I was 8lbs 3 oz and 21inches long. I am a super eater and for the most part I don't keep Mom and Dad up too much and sleep decently most nights. I prefer the night owl life style though and think 11:30 is the perfect time for bed although Mom and Dad don't agree. I'm awake a lot more during the day. I know I have a brother and for the most part he doesnt pay much attention to me and that is just fine.

Baby Amelia

Well, my little sister has finally made her way into the world! She was born July 18th, 2008 at 9:13 am weighing in at 7 lbs 13 oz and measuring 20.25 inches long. Everything went well and so far my new sister is happy and healthy and mom is doing well too. They were able to come home Sunday afternoon.

Mimi and Pop did an excellent job of taking care of me. I had tons of fun with them and they even took me out and to visit Mommy, Daddy and Mia at the hospital. I'm not sure what to think of Mia yet. Sometimes I'm a little jealous and sometimes just plain curious. But overall, I'm doing well with it all.

Blueberries and More

Mommy and Daddy took me to pick blueberries. We had lots of fun and I definately want to do it again. My favorite part was running up and down the aisles and in between the bushes. They even let me squash a few in my hands! We also took my second trip to the pool and I liked it much better this time. I actually smiled. Everything is going well here with Mommy and my baby sister - just less than 2 weeks and I will get to meet her.
