March 2011

So I realized I have gotten a bit behind.  We have definitely been busy.  Nothing in particular, just the usual speech, school, appts, army stuff and now that it has gotten nice out we spend tons of time outside, which means less computer time.  The kids are doing great.  They finally both love school.  They are talking up a storm and playing lots together, most of the time nicely.  My favorite times recently are just to sit and listen to them talk and play and the games they come up with.  Amelia is constantly singing, usually to herself, it doesn’t matter to her whether she has an audience or not.

Amelia’s idea of basketball is making Dan lift her to pop it in and she refuses to do it any other way

February 2011

Thankfully, February was much better than January.  The weather started getting warmer and we got to spend a lot of time outside.  Amelia really started to master potty training.  School for both kids is going well.  We are so very blessed to have two such wonderful kids.  They are talking so much now and they have these little conversations with each other which are just darling and funny to listen to.  We are officially going to University of Florida in Gainesville, sometime in July for Dan to go to grad school.  So I have been busy trying to find a rental home and get the kids enrolled in preschool.

January 2011

At some point in late January I did realize that I had not taken any pictures – the first time since Alex was born have I gone a WHOLE month without taking a single picture.  This is not something I am proud of, but to my defense there wasn’t much going on.  Dan had his first field exercise since his return home in July.  A day after he left Amelia came down with a horrible flu followed by ear and eye infections.  Just days later my Gramps passed away hence an quick impromptu trip to Allentown for Amelia and myself.  Alex stayed with daddy so he wouldn’t miss too much speech and school.  Before we knew it February was here.

My Gramps was a truly special individual: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/mcall/obituary.aspx?n=leon-j-mcgeady&pid=148257489
