Columbia Zoo

Dan has 30 days of vacation he is currently taking, while a lot of it has been spent getting the house together, running errands and getting the kids situated with new speech therapists and school we are also going to the park lots (there are several on post) and we also went to the Columbia Riverbanks zoo. It was a little hot but the kids had a blast. Now they know and recognize most of the animals and make the appropriate noises, so funny!

Daddy decided to let the kids make milkshakes one evening - they had a terrific time :o) We are so happy and blessed to have him home

He's Back!

As I am sure everyone knows by now, considering its almost a whole month later Dan is home. We didn't get too many pictures from the homecoming just because it was only us in a gym full of hundreds of families and soliders; oh and did I mention it was 100 degrees in there? Anyway, within in minutes of seeing him the kids were instantly attached and over the moon. We had to drop him off for a 5 mins to get his bag and Amelia already was crying that Daddy was gone. They want to know where he his first thing after naps or in the morning and want him to play constantly which he is more than happy to do.

Thankfully the first 2 weeks back while he had to work, it was usually only until 930 or 10 in the morning (just an hour or 2) then we were able to spend the rest of the day together. Starting last week (august 4th) he started a month of vacation :o) So far we haven't killed each other ;o) Also we were able to move back in to on post housing which has kept us super busy. We have been in the house about 3 weeks and finally have everything unpack and are mostly settled.
